Electric Motor Wiring Kit

The Electric Motor Wiring Kit includes (6) orange twist-on wire connectors, (3) blue fork spades, and (5) blue female spades. The wiring kit comes with industry-standard-sized caps and wiring connectors to wire a boat lift motor to a control box switch. Packaging weighs .25 pounds and measures 6 in. x 4 in. x 1 1/2 in. The kits include barcoding and sales packaging. The wiring kit has enough connectors to wire one boat lift motor.

Wiring Terminals Types

Spade Type – Also referred to as disconnects, spade terminals are the most common electrical terminal you will find on a car. There are three types- male, female, and fork. Spades are to connect wires to relays and components. They come in different widths, but most use the common standard size.

Female Spade – This is the socket side. This is the most common connector you will use to connect wires to components.

Fork Spade – Used to connect wires to components that use a clamping hold down. The fork allows the wires to be installed or removed quickly.

Twist-on wire connectors  – A type of electrical connector used to fasten two or more low-voltage (or extra-low-voltage) electrical conductors. Widely used in North America in residential, commercial, and industrial building power wiring.
