The BH-360 PWC Lift should only be used to lift personal watercraft up to 1,250 lbs. Do not alter configuration in any way to lift wider boats. Never ride and lift during the lifting or lowering process. BH-USA does not build lifts for lifting people. You are required to install the BH-360 as instructed by the BH-360 lift guide. Ride pie should penetrate the clay bottom at least 18 in. Use pile mount with dock mount. Extra pile mounts are available for purchase. Never attempt to operate any boat lift with an extension cord or a generator. Mount the drum switch in a location that cannot be reached from the personal watercraft.

I have reliably used/installed these 3 bolt to housing (Tide Tamer) units for several years. They easily replace the “Direct Drive” formerly “Hattaras” SS drives that can be known to have cable spool disintegration issues in very saline conditions.
Great price/value and considerably more lifting power (especially when using the TT compound to housing cable routing) than the newest DD from Tide Tamer.

This lift winch works well, is quiet and dependable. I did have some issues while installing it.
There was cosmetic damage to the cover and switch, probably due to shifting of parts during shipping. In my opinion the unit was not packaged very well. The parts, many of them very heavy, were simply wrapped in paper and stacked on top of one another in the box. Of course this makes them subject to shifting during shipment. Other manufacturers use cardboard or foam forms, especially for heavy parts such as motors, to prevent this kind of shipping damage.
The handle on the switch did not stay on. In fact it was not attached out of the box – probably shipping damage.
The provided 8-32 cover screws were too small. The cover screws could not be tightened. I used some 10-32 screws which fit fine.
There were no real instructions for assembly. There were some generic instructions most of which applied to boat house lift winches, but nothing specific to the PWC winch. For example, no instructions on which nuts and bolts to use where or how to attach the cable. Someone with little experience might have trouble with this. Also, the manual stated that the gear case is shipped with no grease, but there was in fact grease.
I notified the seller of these problems, and I did get a replacement switch sent to me. But despite several emails back and forth, and a phone call to the manufacturer 7 days ago, I am still without a replacement cover after 6+ weeks.
